This summer Overflow Coffee Bar continued its concert series with a debut performance by SheLivs. SheLivs is a forward-thinking female duo who showcased their gifts of music through song and instrumentation. Their song lyrics highlighted the beauty and trials of being a woman through the perfect integration of poetry, jazz, and classical music.
SheLivs, comprised of Sheila Fortson and Liv Roskos, captured the audience by opening with a duet violin mashup piece incorporating classic and improv styles. Throughout the night they invited special guests Ryan Alexander, Jasmine Sims and Jenai Jenkins, to perform original pieces and arrangements, ending with a self -titled song with an empowering message:
"She Livs with bravery and boldness, She Livs with courage and conviction, She Livs with a sexy strength, She Livs fierce and feminine, She Livs"
In addition to live music, the audience enjoyed Overflow Coffee Bar's full menu featuring treats from Bakes by Kari and purchased one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry from our guest vendor REBIRTH7.
